The mission of the Eastside Human Services Forum is to foster strong public and private partnerships to assure a stable network of health and human services for the benefit of all East King County residents

This will be accomplished through efforts to:

  • create partnerships and efficiencies
  • advocate to protect Eastside interests
  • help inform decision makers (including funders, policy makers and the public) about issues of importance
  • strengthen the funding base for human services

WHAT'S NEW

Eastside Human Services Forum
6 reasons why it's needed

  1. We're on a collision course between people in need and resources available to serve them.
  2. The ranks of those without the most basic needs are increasing - including hungry children, families living in cars and people with no access to health care.
  3. No one partner in the human services community is able, nor should it be expected, to carry a disproportionate share of responsibility.
  4. The Forum is needed to provide decision and policy makers with the information they need to make sound, educated, informed decisions.
  5. Singly we lack the power that comes from gathering diverse constituencies for a common purpose, and being able to speak with a unified voice
  6. We owe it to the people of East King County to make the best use of resources available to us.
